National Caravan Council (NCC) Training Academy Certification in Electrical Testing and Inspection.
Under UK legislation, persons working with electricity must be instructed or skilled. This NCC electrical maintenance, Test & Inspection, course has been designed to cover the relevant skills that will provide a caravan service technician, the level of competence appropriate to carry out electrical work on touring caravans and motorhomes. The course is considered the minimum standard for anyone working on electrical systems within the caravan industry as a service technician.
National Caravan Council (NCC) Training Academy Certification in Electrical Systems and Circuits.
This course expands upon the skill base of the technician who has completed the Electrical Testing and Inspection Course and allows them to safely and competently carry out a wider scope of electrical work as part of a touring caravan or motorhome service. It is described as Advanced Electrical Training for Caravan and Motorhome Service Technicians.
UK Regulations require all persons working with gas to either be instructed (supervised) or skilled (unsupervised and qualified to sign off gas work). This qualification was formally known as ACoPs (Approved Codes of Practice)but has now been re-branded as STGW (Standards of Training in Gas Works). It is gas competence training for caravan and motorhome service technicians. It covers the key skills for gas safety; servicing, repairing and testing of the gas system and appliances; and issuing appropriate documentation.
City and Guilds in Caravan and Leisure Engineering.
In our eyes this course is the final qualification for a fledgling caravan and motorhome engineer to achieve after some months of experience, learning on the tools and having previously gained the qualifications listed above. The examination consists of both a practical and written assessment and would normally be achieved after approximately 2 years of experience.
Excellent service all round then, we could not be more pleased!
Mr Bowers, Milton Keynes
We have always had good service from the Stowford Sales team, in particular the excellent handover and aftersales service. We have been so impressed that we have just bought our 4th Caravan from Stowford
Mr and Mrs Shipton, Devon
Thank you to Simon at Coed Ely, Lyn and Tom at Devon for sorting out a replacement window and minor bodywork repair to our 3 week old Cartagena following a collision… Everyone at Stowford and especially Simon Bennett at Bailey were absolutely marvellous. Previously we’ve always had Swift vans and they can learn an awfull lot from Bailey and Stowford on excellent customer service.
Mr B Lloyd
The service we received from the first time we looked at the caravan until we took possession of it far exceeded our expectations. The service we received was exceptional.
Mr Bennett, Bristol
I wanted to compliment Stowford on their magnificent customer service. I recently bought a Bailey motorhome from you, and from the day I first saw the camper to handover last Wednesday, Sian, Andrew and Andrew – and Colin on the handover itself – were magnificent.
I must congratulate you all on the outstanding level of service we have been provided with ever since the purchase of our first new caravan. The whole process from purchase to handover was a real pleasure.
Mr Joll, Exeter
Having recently bought my second new caravan from Stowford Caravans, I have no hesitation in recommending this company… Their philosophy is obviously customer is King because nothing is too much trouble… one often hears tales of woe but this is a first class company to deal with
Cllr. D Brailey MBE
Got to say about the after care I’ve received from Stowford is FIRST CLASS.
Thanks to you and your team for your monumental efforts in handing over our new Bailey Unicorn Seville last week in time for us to get away as planned. It really is reassuring to receive such good service and to always be welcomed with a smile.
Just a quick note to you all to thank you for the very professional and helpful handover last weekend. It was a pleasure to meet you all and a real joy to experience real service again (something pretty rare these days!).
